Augusta Chronicle, Novermber 08, 1935
Mrs. Mamie Franklin Brack died Nov. 7 1935 in Midville, Ga. She was 45 years 
old, born in Washington County, a member of Midville Baptist Church and buried 
in the Midville City Cemetery. 
Surviors: daughter Francis Brack; 3 brothers: J. Allen Franklin of Macon; Tom 
Beck Franklin and Hampton Franklin of Sandersville. 6 sisters: Mrs. H. A. 
Wasden (Sallie) and Mrs. W. T. Hammock (Isabelle) of Midville; Mrs. R. L. 
(Julia) Rountree and Mrs. W.T. (Ada) Mays of Dublin; Mrs. D. N. (Lula May) 
Williams and Mrs. Charles (Montine) Inman, Sr. of St. Petersburg, Fla. Sister-
in-law Mrs. Sam Franklin, Summertown. Two aunts Mrs. Pope (Ellen) Norris and 
Mrs. W. M. Garner, Bath. S.C.  

Additional Comments:
Mamie Franklin Brack was the wife of Ben B. Brack. Her only son Ben, age 18 was 
killed in a hunting accident in Nov. 1929. She was the daughter of Charles M. 
and Louisa Hart Franklin of Burke County and grandaughter of Wade Hampton and 
Fanny Franklin of Aiken, S.C.
