William Percy Cowell, 89, died Thesday Feb. 21, 1989 at Emanuel County 
Hospital, Swainsboro.  Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Hines 
Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Ronald Webb officiating.  Mr. Cowell, a 
native of Liverpool, England, was a retired carpenter and a Baptist.  He was a 
member of the Midville Masonic Lodge No. 521 and the Order of the Eastern Star 
in Millen.  Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Moore, California, and Mrs. 
M.A. Drake, Midville; a son, George Ivy Parish, Midville; and nine 
grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.  
Pallbearers will be Ted Salters, Jamie Oglesbee, Loyd Sherrod, Lynn Nasworthy, 
Pete Robinson and Ronny Drake.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of 
Midville Masonic Lodge No. 521.  Peebles Curry Morturary, Swainsboro, is in 
charge of arrangements.
