The Augusta Chronicle dated 3-21-1966-Monday.

Waynesboro, Ga, - Mims L. Herrington, 83, native of Burke County, 2117 
Solverdale Road, Augusta, died late Saturday night after an extended illness. 
He was the husband of Mrs. Willie Mae Mallard Herrington and the son of the 
late Andrew Virgie Herrington and Eleanor Landrum Thorn Herrington.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Gary hayes, New 
Ellenton, SC., and Mrs. Robert E. Wills, Augusta; one son, Mims L. Herrington, 
Jr., Charlotte, NC.; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Horton, Springfield, Mrs. Lessie 
Chance, Waynesboro, Mrs. Alma Chance, Perkins, and Mrs. Myrtis Herrington, 
Savannah; two brothers, Ben Terrell Herrington, Augusta, and Tannie 
Herrington, Savannah.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Mills 
Funeral Home in Waynesboro with the Rev. W.H. Barfield and the Rev. William T. 
Hammard officiating. Burieal will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Ga.
