Death Yesterday of F. C. Utley

Jefferson County Farmer Succombs to Pneumonia


Louisville, Ga., May 14, 1925

F.C. Utley died at his home three miles from here this afternoon after a few days illness from pneumonia.  Mr. Utley was a farmer and leaves a widow and nine children.  Among whom are Mrs. L.C. Scott of Savannah, Mrs. William Colley of Savannah, Mrs. Thompson of Mathews, Mrs. F.L. Funderburg of Gough, Misses Pauline and Mary and H.D. and Morgan Utley.  He was 64 years of age.




(Note: Frederick Clinton Utley was born in October of 1859, Burke Co., near Girard, Ga.  He was the son of Henry Y. and Cornelia Hill Utley.
Known to his family and friends as Kit; he was married to Etta Almeda McClellan Utley for 33 years.)
