All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** WILL OF ANN LOVETT (Wife of Anthony Bonnell Lovett the Brother of Napoleon Boneparte Lovett) State 0 Georgia: Burke County: In the presence of God, Amen, I Ann Lovett of said State and County being of advanced age and feeble health but of sound mind and memory and knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right and proper both as it regards my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me so therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills heretofore made by me. Item 1. I give and bequeath unto my children Martha, John, and Sylvetta all and singular any real and personal estate that is coming to me from the estate of Anthony B. Lovett my husband late of Burke County deceased, also to each one: one bed, bedstead, matress and bedclothing and desire that my executor hereafter appointed to keep together undivided said negroes, hire out until my son John arrives to the age of twenty one keeping said money at interest, and if any one of the children Martha, John, or Sylvetta should depart this life, leaving no living issue, then said moiety belonging to said deceased to belong to the remaining two and if one more should die leaving no living issue then it all is to go to the living one, and if all three should die leaving no issue then the property to return to my estate to be equally divided among the balance of my children or their heis, but in all or any case said property not to be subject to the debts or contracts of said children nor at their disposition. Item 2. I give and bequeath unto my daugher Mary A. Chance, who is the wife of Reuben C. Chance, my rocKaway, my bay horse Gates, my Sorrel horse Tom, one half of my stock of cattle and hogs, one bed, matress, beadstead, and bed clothing, three hundred bushels corn and two double stacks of fodder and one half of the balance of any household and kitchen furniture and half of the plantation tools. Item 3. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy Lanier, my two mules, one half of my stock of cattle and one half my hogs, half of my household and kitchen furniture and half of my plantation tools, three hundred bushels of corn and two double stacks of fodder. Item: 5. I give and bequeath unto Mrs. Jane Roberts Fifty Dollars to pay her for her trouble and attention to me and ray business in my sickness. Item 6: I do hereby constitute and appoint Reuben C. Chance my son-in-law my true and lawful Executor to this my last Will and Testament requesting him to sell all and singular everything belonging to my estate not otherwise disposed of to pay all my just debts as I do not wish my creditors kept out of their right unnecessarily. And I desire that my Executor after paying my debts to keep the money, notes, and other evidence of debts or money to be equally divided between my daughters Martha, Sylvetta, and son John when John is twenty one years of age as directed with my real and person estate.
