 I Elisabeth Pennington being of sound mind and body but now knowing that it is 
the time for all men to die do make this my last will and testatment for the 
benefit of my three living children who have been an inspiration to me for over 
forty years after the death of their father in 1816. I will to my elest son 
Thoms Pennington of Jefferson County all my tract of lots of land located in 
District 65 of Burke County, Georgia, originally granted to his grandfather 
Thomas Pennington in 1785. I will and bequest to my youngest son William 
Pennington my land in Richmond County and the lots of land in District 81 in 
Jefferson County. To my only daughter Mary Elisabeth I will all my household 
good and the property already deeded to her last year. To my grandsons Markus, 
Thomas and Charles Pennington I will my family bible and all my negroes and all 
salt work mines near Stellaville share and share alike. To my daugher in law 
Mary Beasley now wife of William Pennington I give my bedding and other bedroom 
heirlooms which I have told her that were to be hers for her tender care during 
my last and many illness over the last several years. This is my Last Will and 
I revoke any other or previous wills and this is my signature on the 2nd Mark 
1855 which is by mark since I cannot write or ead with much accuracy.
