STATE OF GEORGIA
Butts County

Know all men by these presents that we William R. Bankston as principal and  T.
N. Henly, Jas, A. Collins, & John Hodges, as Sureties are held and firmly bound
unto his excellency James M. Smith Governor of the State of Georgia and his
successors in office in the just and full sum of three thousand dollars to the
payment of which will and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Executors
and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with
our seals and dated this 19th of Feb. 1873

The conditions of the above board is such that whereas the above bound William
R. Bankston was on the first day of January 1873 duly and legally elected Clerk
of the Superior Court in and for said County of Butts for the term of two years.
 Now should the said Wm. R. Bankston faithfully discharge the duties of said
office of Clerk of the Superior Court for said county during the time he
continues therein as discharges any of the duties thereof then the above bond to
be void else to be of full force.
