STATE OF GEORGIA
Butts County

Know all men by these presents that as Wm. R. Bankston as principal and Wm M.
Mallet, J. R. McCord, J. W. McCord, J. S. McDaniel and Joseph Jolly as Sureties
are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency James M. Smith Governor of the
State of Georgia and his successors in office in the just and full sum of Three
Thousand dollars to the payment of which will and truly to be made we bind
ourselves as his successors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by
these present sealed with our seals and dated this 27th day of Feb 1875.

The condition of the above bond is such that where as the above bound Wm. R.
Bankston was on the sixth day of Jany 1875 duly and legally elected Clerk of the
Superior Court in and for said County of Butts for the next ensuring two years.
 Now should the said Wm. R .Bankston faithfully discharge the duties of said
office of Clerk of the Superior Court in and for said county during the time he
continues there in or discharges any of the duties thereof then the above bond
to be void else to be of full force.
