GEORGIA Butts County This Indenture made this the fourth day of February Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Seven between Samuel Collins of the said State and County of the one part and Luvisa Collins of the same place (the beloved wife of the said Samuel Collins) of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Samuel Collins for and in consideration of contract with Luvisa Bankaston, now Luvisa Collins(the same never having committed to writing( and for the natural love and affection which he has and bears to his wife and to make good the contract prior to marriage hath given granted and conveyed and doth by these presents give grant and convey to the said Luvisa Collins all the property she owned in her own right previous to being united with him in marriage – Viz. 2 bedsteads, 2 beds and furniture, 1 dining tale, 1 drop table, 1 safe, 2 trunks, 1 set chairs, cooking utensils consisting of 2 pots, 1 over, 1 spider, 1 kettle, 1 set knives and forks, 2 dishes, 1 set plates, cups and saucers, 2 pitchers, 1 bowl, 1 coffee pot and wash pan, 3 tin boxes, 1 water bucket, 3 large jars, 2 small jars, 2 band boxes, 1 set and irons, shovel and tongs, 1 pressing iron or goose, 1 club ax, 2 pair of horses and 2 sleys, 1 sieve, 1 bread tray, spinning wheel, 2 cows and calves with their increase and all other articles that she the said Luvisa Collins may make or procure by her own industry and to have and to hold the above described property to her said Luvisa Collins her heirs and assigns together will all and singular the rights to the same in any manner belonging his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple.
