Written: May 7, 1844 Recorded: May 9, 1844 GEORGIA Butts County Know all men by these presents that we William R. Bankston and Reason Blisset, are held and firmly bound unto their honors, the Justices of the Inferior Court, sitting for ordinary purposes for said County, and their successors in office, in the first and full sum of Eight hundred dollars for the payment of which sum to the said Court of Judges and their successors in offices we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators in the whole and for the whole sum jointly, and severally and firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this seventh day of May Eighteen Hundred and Forty Four. The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound William R. Bankston, administrator of the goods, chattels and credits of James E. Bankston deceased do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the goods, chattels, and credits of the said James E. Bankston, deceased, which have or shall come into the hands, possession, or knowledge of the said William R. Bankston or the hands, or possession of any person or persons for him, and the same so made, do exhibit to the Ordinary Court of the County, or Register of Probate thereof, when he shall be thereunto required; and such goods, chattels, and credits, do will and truly administer according to law and do make a just and true account of all his actions and doings therein, when he shall thereunto be required by the court, shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively, as they may be entitled to the same by law; and if it shall hereafter appear, that any last will and testament was made by the deceased and the same be proven before the court of ordinary, and executor, obtain a certificate of the probate thereof, and William R. Bankston in such case , if required , render and deliver up the said letters of administration, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force.
