D. Tingle and S. W. Tingle of the other part and all of the county aforesaid except A. D. Tingle of Monroe. Witnesseth that the said Eliza Bankston, Martha Bankston and Scyntha Johnson for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and do hereby sell and convey unto the said A. D. Tingle and S. W.Tingle, deacons of Mount Vernon Church and their successors in office, a certain track of land situated in the county aforesaid, the same being in the fourth district, originally Monroe, now Butts County, being a fraction in the North East corner of lot No. 52, fifty two, containing three acres with all the rights and privileges there unto belonging for public worship and burial ground and for any purpose except a literary school and when the property fails to be a place of public worship, the property to revert back to the Bankston Estate, otherwise sic fee simple. And the said Eliza Bankston, Martha Bankston and Scyntha Johnson, their heirs, executors and administrators the title to the premises aforesaid will for ever warrant and defend to the said A. D. Tingle and S. W. Tingle deacon and their successors in office against the lawful claims of all other persons. In witness whereof the said Eliza Bankston, Martha Bankston and Scyntha Johnson has hereunto set this hand and seal,. The day and year aforesaid signed, sealed and delivered in presence of: C. T. Additional Comments: These three sisters, Martha, Eliza and Cynthis were daughters of Isaac Bankston (Isaac was a brother to Abner Bankston, all of Butts County. Martha and Eliza never married. Cynthia married John Washington Johnson and buried in Mt Vernon cemetery, graves marked. The spelling of Cynthia/Scyntha varies.
