Written: December 26 1846

GEORGIA
Butts County

This indenture made and entered into the twenty (fifth, then struck through) 
sixth day of December in the year of our Lord, 1846, eighteen hundred and forty 
six between Henry M. Bankston of the county and state aforesaid of the one part 
and Jacob Bankston both of the same place of the other part.  Witnesseth that 
the said Henry M. Bankston for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred 
dollars to him in hand paid out and before the signing and delivering of these 
presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath grants, bargained 
and sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant, bargains and sell and 
convey unto the said Jacob Bankston his heirs and assigns all that tract or 
parrcel of land situate lying and being in the second district of originally 
Henry, now Butts County, known and distinguishes as north east corner of lot 
no. 127, one hundred and twenty seven containing fifty acres, more or less with 
all the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have now to 
hold the afore described parcel of land unto him the said Jacob Bankston his 
heirs and assigns together with all the rights members and appurtenances to 
said parcel of land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use 
benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Henry M. Bankston for 
himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises 
together the said Jacob Bankston his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever 
defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claims of 
all the persons whatever.

In witness whereof the said Henry M. Bankston hate hereunto set his hand and 
affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
