Dear Father and Mother,

It is with pleasure that I seat my self this evening to inform you that 
I am well at present and hoping that when these few lines come to hear 
that this may find you enjoying the same blessings.  I have nothing of 
important to write but that I got here safe.  Col. Bailey says that we 
will leave here at Sunday for to go down below Macon.  I will come to 
close by saying write as soon as you find out where we will be 
stationed.
