Jackson Argus – Butts County January 21, 1898
Jim Ball the youhng man who was given a preliminary trial before Judge Robinson 
a few days ago for the killing of Stobe Greer was released.

It appears that there was no witnesses to the killing and only evidence was the 
statement of the defendant.
