The people of Elgin are a wide-awake progressive set of farmers. They are not idly slumbering and allowing the surrounding localities to lead them, but they are leading the van in every sense of the word. We have had some splendid revivals at Liberty and Towaliga churches, conducted by the aged and noble pastor, Rev. John Kimbell assisted by Rev. Wood, of Sunny Side. The protracted services are now in progress at Elgin church. We are confident they will be greatly benefited by the able sermons of Rev. Sewall. In the afternoon we were invited out to eat watermelons and the most delicious melons they were. They day was one of pleasure and will long be remembered by……Violet File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/butts/newspapers/elgin1921gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
