Middle Ga. Argus – Week of June 2, 1893
Nick Nutting, the Negro desperado who killed Marshall Harris in Forsyth in 
February, and was released to the sheriff of Montgomery county, to be tried 
there for murder was convicted and hung at Mount Vernon on Friday.  He 
confessed of having committed six murders in Georgia and South Carolina
