Argus – Week of September 14, 1893 Mr. Marion Weaver, who stands indicted for killing John Grubbs, col., and who has been hiding since the bill was found, returned home some weeks ago in a very critical condition, suffering from a severe spell of typhoid fever. He notified the sheriff that he was read to surrender, and Mr. Beauchamp went out to his home and placed him under guard, he not being able to be confined in jail. He made application for bail, and on Saturday Judge Hunt granted it, fixing the bond at $4,000. The papers have been signed, but Mr. Weaver is low down and it will be quite a while before he will be out. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.1 Kb
