All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Don Bankston http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00024.html#0005864 December 27, 2004, 1:36 pm Jackson Argus – Week of March 8, 1895 Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of Jackson, and it is hereby ordained by authority of the same, that from and after the 20th of March, 1895, no person or persons shall keep or maintain a Hog or Hogs within the town of Jackson, except that they first obtain the consent of the Sanitary Committee of the Council, and that they be kept in a pen not less than 30 feet square for each and every Hog, and then said pens to be kept strictly in accordance with instructions of Sanitary Committee. All persons violating this ordinance shall be fined and punished in the discretion of the Mayor. Approved February 26, 1895 E. E. Pound, Mayor M. M.
