If there is an improvement of any kind, which will add more to the materials interests of our town and count than a new court house, we are at a loss to determine it. It is only a question of a few years when one will have to be built, and it is our opinion that it can be done cheaper now than at any other time. The present structure, with its many inconveniences, should be torn away and a new and commodious building erected in its stead. Bonds can be issued, and the railroad tax for the next ten or fifteen years will be sufficient to pay all expenses incurred in so doing, without levying one cent of tax upon a resident of Butts county. A large portion of the money expended for labor, etc., will find its way to our merchants here at home, and thus, besides giving the residents of our county a handsome court house, it will be a measure aid in relieving the stringency of money now so noticeable in our midst. Now is the accepted time to make a move in this direction, and we feel assured that the grand jury drawn for the next week will see it in the same light.
