Jackson News – Week of June 7, 1882
A white married woman, near town, to her utter consternation and surprise gave
birth to a fine healthy boy a few days ago, not knowing herself to be pregnant.
 She thought she was afflicted with dropsy and was so treated.   She has since
died.
