M. V. McKibben has placed in his front yard, over the well a very nice arrangement by means of which he can force water into his residence and everywhere on the premises. This arrangement consists of an upright cylinder something like a boiler, which can be filled by pressure, with air. There is a stop-cock attached which permits the compressed air to descent through pipes into the well. This air then forces the water into all parts of the house, lot or barn. The cylinder acts as a reservoir for the air, which can be used at, will. This makes a very nice arrangement and Col. McKibben is well satisfied with its work.
