He was in the upper part of town cursing Negroes and firing his pistol and came into the streets in his drunken revelry. Marshall Harp was called to arrest him and amid a volley of oaths and kicks he was dragged to the lock-up and confined till Monday morning when he was brought before Mayor Byars and fined fifteen dollars for his jag of the previous night.
