Jackson Argus September 27, 1900
The gin house of Kinard Bros. at Towaliga was burned Tuesday night about 10 
o’clock.  The entire plant, together with about four bales of cotton, was a 
total loss with no insurance.

The fire caught in the gin and is thought to have originated from a match in 
the cotton.

It is a loss to most worthy young men, but fortunately they are made of the 
kind of material that keeps on coming.
