  Leguin  Ford Bridge at Tussahaw Creek
Many petitioners in the upper portion of the county have asked for the building of 
a bridge over Tussahaw creek at what is known as the Leguin ford.  They point out 
that the bridge will be of great public utility and that the cost of same will not 
be more than $150 to the county.

Note:  The most likely location is at Leguin Mill (on Leguin Mill Road) in Henry 
County near the Butts County border.  Leguin Mill Road crosses Tussahaw Creek at 
a location east of Old Jackson Road and near New Hope United Methodist Church.
Note  "A Home-Concealed Woman: The Diaries of Magnolia Wynn Le Guin",  was 
published several years ago after a relative found a diary of Mrs. LeGuin.  A 
copy is still likely available at times.  The book contains information related 
to many families that were located in Butts County and Henry County between 1901 
and 1913.  
I saw this post and wanted to tell you I read this book, "A Home-Concealed 
Woman: The Diaries of Magnolia Wynn Le Guin", a few years ago and enjoyed it 
very much.  It is full of Henry/Butts county names and place names.    It is 
kind of a sad book to me in places but I think it gives a pretty fair picture of 
life at the time the journal was written.  I often wondered if it reflects how 
my own great grandparents saw life in that place during that time as they would 
have been peers of the writer, and possibly acquaintances or neighbors.
