The grounds around Miss Joe Varner’s hotel have been beautifully terraced by Mr. Jack Lamar who has been spending the winter at Indian Spring for his health. In front there are two terraces, about three feet high with flights of steps through each terrace. On the southern exposure are three lower terraces on which are prettily designed flower beds. The terraces are all sodded and in summer will be beautiful with flowers which Mr. Lamar will plant. The effect is very lovely and is all Mr. Lamar’s design.
