Middle Ga. Argus – Week of March 11, 1884
Johnie Greer who lives near this place, had been for some time missing corn 
from his crib, and finding where it had been taken from an opening in the 
building, set a trap for the thief.  One night last week he was awakened by a 
colored woman who notified him that another colored female of the colored 
persuasion had been caught in the trap and begged to be relieved.  Johnie 
feeling that her punishment had been sufficient; he let her go with the promise 
she would sin no more.
