The Georgia Enterprise
  On Friday night last, Mr. Thomas McNair, who lives near Worthville, in Butts
county, was called to the door by an unknown party or parties and assassinated. 
It appears that the party who called Mr. McNair up did so on the pretense that 
his harness were broke and he desired a light in order to see how to fix them. 
McNair produced the light and just as he got to the door of his residence was 
fired upon by another party who was evidently standing at the corner of the 
house. Twelve buckshot entered his back and one went into his head.
