We the subscribers in County of Burke, do hereby certify that we have been
personally acquainted with John Lasseter, Esq., from his first fixed residence
in the said county until the present period, that he has always been esteemed by
us from our first acquaintence with him as an honest, well disposed good citizen
and friendly neighbor, that during the time the said Lasseter has acted as a
justice of the peace for the said county, we have every confidence that he has
endeavoured to discharge the duties of his appointment, with impartiality, and
agreeable to justice and the laws of the State.
