The Negro testified that Mr. McNair compelled him to watch while he (McNair) broke in and stole the goods. This of course McNair denied, stating that he was in company with the Negro that night but knew nothing of the theft. Others testified as to the store being broken open and the goods but did not know who did it. McNair was placed under a $250 bond but failed to make it and was sent to Fulton county jail for safe keeping. Sheppard gave a $200 bond.
