Narrow Escape

On last Saturday night, a short while after dark, Mr. J. M. Ingram discovered 
that his dwelling was on fire.  The fire originated in a room some distance 
from the fire place and was under good headway before it was discovered, but 
fortunately it was extinguished before much damage was done.  Mr. Ingrams hands 
were severely burned in his efforts to put out the fire.  He cannot account for 
how it originated, unless it was the work of an incendiary.
