Old Macedonia

We predict that old Macedonia will have the largest Sunday school in the county 
this year and the finest Christmas tree next Christmas.  We hope everybody I 
this section will help us to this end.

Miss Minnie Atkinson has taken charge of the school at this place and has the 
finest school that has been here for years and everybody are pleased with her 
as a teacher.  She now has forty pupils with a prospect of more later on – 
perhaps 100 when crops are laid by.  Our community was fortunate in securing 
the services of so excellent a lady and so fine a teacher as Miss Minnie to 
place over our children, and I can safely say that all who send to her will get 
their money’s worth.   The school has been moved from the church to the forks 
of the road near R. J. Mayo’s, Mr. Mayo having donated one acre of land to the 
school, for which h he receives the thanks of the community.
