J. Hinnant, formerly of this county were arrested by detective J. H. Wilson on Friday at Empire Georgia, charged with breaking into and setting fire to Mr. A. H. Price’s store at Cork some weeks ago. They were brought to Jackson and placed in the county jail. On yesterday they were taken before Justice J. H. Ham for preliminary trial, but the prosecutors failing to appear the case were dismissed and the young men are free again. We learn that on the night of the burning these young men were at their boarding house in Empire and that the keepers of the boarding house will testify to these facts.
