Middle Ga. Argus – Week of March 10,1881
We learn that a small colored boy about 12 years of age was seriously cut by 
one George Byars, colored on the premises of Mr. Joe Wright in this county, on 
Sunday evening last.  This was a dastardly act, as the perpetrator was a grown 
young man and his conduct should receive the full measure of the law.
