S. Morris of this city was taken before W. A. Prout J.P., on a write of lunacy. He was adjudged a lunatic by the jury and the paper was at once sent to Zebulon and was approved by the ordinary and so Tuesday morning Sheriff Bussey and Mr. Tobe Williams left with home on the down train for the asylum at Milledge. On their arrival they found the rule of the asylum had not been complied with by giving ten days notice and they had to bring him back. The notice was given and he will be carried back to the asylum the last of next week. Mr. Morris received a severe lick on the head during the war, while standing on top of a train on the Macon and Western railroad, collecting, fair for his father, who was conductor on the train as the train left Macon and got on a good head of steam, the train passed under the bridge at Vineville, which stuck Mr. Morris on the head knocking him senseless, and fracturing his skull which is said to be the cause of his present trouble.
