Argus – Week of February 17, 1891 Whereas certain resolutions were passed in a secret meeting in the executive mansion in Atlanta, Ga., on 5th inst by some fifteen or twenty brother alliance men looking into the condemnation and displacement of Brother Harry C. Brown, editor of our official organ. Resolved. That we the Cedar Rock sub-alliance, do condemn said action, not only for its irregularity and informality but because it is in violation of every precept and principle of our order, and as such is revolutionary in character and disrupting in tendency. Resolved. That we hereby pledge our support to Bro. Harry C. Brown as editor of our state organ until it shall be proven that he is unworthy of the high trust reposed in him, and as such condemned and removed by the proper constitutional authority.
