Middle Ga. Argus – Week of July 28, 1891
The Supreme Court decision in the Sam Greer case was made public one day last 
week. It confirmed the decision of the superior court and Sam will have to 
swing.  There is now no chance but the governor’s interference, and he will 
hardly have anything to say.  Sam will be resentenced by Judge Boynton during 
August court and be hanged some time in September or October.

note:   please note the surname is spelled GRIER/GREER in the articles.
