Middle Ga. Argus – Week of October 6, 1891
Col. Van McKibben left on Thursday, with his daughter, Miss Hattie, for Boston, 
where the latter will enter the New England Conservatory of Music to complete 
her musical education.  She will remain there about ten months.   Miss Hattie 
is already a graduate of one of our leading literary colleges and when she 
returns from Boston next summer she will be possessed with accomplishments that 
but few can boast of.  The Argus wishes her unmeasured success in her studies 
and pleasure in her long stay from home.
