The brandy was confiscated, he was sentenced to one year and a day in the Ohio government penitentiary and to pay a fine of $200. A petition was presented to Judge Emory Speer asking that Mr. Mays be imprisoned nearer home, which was refused and he was taken to Ohio one day last week.
