He ran one of the negroes into a house and then went in on him, but here the tables were turned on him. The negro who had been pursued wrested the pistol from his assailant, and shot Johnson five times. Three of the shots took effect in the hand, and another bullet went into the side. Dr. A. F. White, of Flovilla, was sent for to dress the wounds, and at last accounts the Negro was in a dangerous condition.
