Such was the case when Mrs. Rosa Davis, on the 7th day of January, just as the day was blooming, gave her life up to the great white plague. The husband and three little children are indeed bereaved. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Davis, the father and mother of J. S. Davis, are caring for the children. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Davis are well known here, both being natives of the county. Mrs. Davis was the granddaughter of Mr. M. L. Harries of Jenkinsburg. The interment was at County Line church, the funeral services being conducted by the pastor Rev. Mr. Vaughn. Everything that money could secure and all the tender nursing that love and devotion could inspire were freely given by Mr. Davis but death was the only relief or the suffering one.
