Middle Ga. Argus – Week of March 11, 1892
Mr. John A. Thompson, a citizen well known to our readers, died at his home in 
this place on Sunday morning at 2 o’clock and was laid to rest after a funeral 
by Rev. E. M. Hooten at the Baptist church at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon.  The 
cause of his death was Brights disease.  He was sixty-six years old.
