Middle Ga. Argus – Week of March 24, 1893
Mr. Jack Lofton died at his home near Worthville on yesterday morning at 3 
o’clock.  His death was caused by pneumonia.  For several years Mr. Lofton as 
been a United States deputy marshal and was well known to our people.  His 
remains will be buried at Worthville today.
