Middle Ga. Argus – Week of September 28, 1893
Little Toomie, the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Googans, died on Saturday 
after only a short spell of croup.  She was a sweet little four year-old, and 
it was almost heart breaking to the fond and loving parents to give her up.   
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, by 
Pastor Carter, after which the remains were conveyed to Cabaniss for interment.
