Middle Ga. Argus – Week of September 7, 1893
The saddest death that has occurred in along while was that of little Carter 
Carmichael, twelve year old son of Mrs. Rose Carmichael, on yesterday morning.  
He died from the effects of congestion of the brain, after but two days’ 
illness.  His remains will be interred in the Jackson cemetery today
