Argus – Week of March 29, 1894 Cardwell Piece Askew Cardwell Piece Askew, infant son of Rev. and Mrs. J. S. Askew, age 9 months died at Jenkinsburg on the 27th inst. Little Cardwell was an intelligent and beautiful child. It is in this case, as indeed it always seems, the sweetest, fairest and most cherished must become the victim. “Death loves a shinning mark,” was literally illustrated in this case. We can only point the bereaved parents and loved ones to Him, who has said: “All things shall work together for good to them who love God.” He is not dead, but sleepeth. W. T.
