Hardeman, an old citizen living in the upper part of this county, died at his home on the night of the 24rd. We failed to learn any particulars concerning his death. - - - NEWSPAPER Issue of Friday, JUNE 16, 1882 OBITUARY OF JOHN W. HARDEMAN Mr. John W. Hardeman was born in Butts county and was the son of Mr. Isaiah and Mrs. Patsey Hardeman who moved to Carroll when the son was about 12 years old. He was a justice of the peace for 4 years and was a member of the church at Old Holly Springs for 33 years and was a deacon for 13 years before his death. He was baptized by Elder R.T. Speight and was ordained by the Presbytery consisting of Elders William Robinson, Simeon Edwards and R.T. Speight. He lived a consistent member for 33 years and was well liked by all who knew him best. He was 56 years old and a few days, at his death. He leaves a wife and one son, with many friends to mourn his loss, but not as those who have no hope. The bereaved ones have ours and many friends' deepest condolence.
