I had the privilege of being with her often during her sickness. We were special friends and schoolmates, and formed an attachment for each other which lasted unbroken till her death. While she was not wholly faultless yet she had as few as any one I ever met. She was kind and affectionate and bore her affliction without a murmur. She had a sweet and kind disposition, and always tried to make those around her pleasant. I was present when she died, and gazed upon her pale face when she breathed her last. She went out peacefully. I have no doubt the disembodied spirit was wafted upon the gilded pinions of angels to the paradise of God. I deeply sympathize with the family in their sore bereavement and commend them to Him who alone has a balm for every sorrow.
