Jackson Argus – Week of September 17,1897
George Head – Death of an Old Citizen

George Head, an old and prominent citizen of High Falls, this county, died 
Friday afternoon at 5 o’clock.

Mr. Head had been afflicted with paralysis for several years past, and while 
his death was expected at any time, it was a great shock to his family and his 
many friends.  He was a brother of Mrs. R. F. Strickland and Miss Hattie Head 
of Griffin.

The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at High Falls.
