H. Maddox of Peeksville, a nephew of Parry Lee, died early Monday morning of typhoid pneumonia, after an illness of nine days. J. M. Leach, of the Jackson Furniture Company, went out Tuesday and attended to the burial, which occurred that morning, Rev. J. E. Pounds of Flovilla officiating. The pallbearers were his classmates from Locust Grove Institute. Homer Maddox was an exemplary young man and his loss is deeply felt by his family and the entire community. He was a promising bright Christian boy.
