Jackson Argus
McKibben, Samuel – Memoriam
Whereas, It has pleased the Supreme Ruler of the universe to call from labor to 
refreshment our Brother Samuel McKibben, who was born in Butts county in the 
year 1828, and died in Jackson, Ga., on August 6, 1901, was made a Mason In 
Ringgold Lodge, No. 90, F. & A. M., in the year 1848 from which he was admitted 
and affiliated with St. John’s Lodge No. 45 F. & A. M. , in January 1889.  
Brother McKibben was a good man and Mason, was an honored and beloved member of 
Jackson Chapter No. 54, Royal Arch Masons, and of Wodhim (??) Council No. 9.  He 
was for many years a consistent member of the Baptist church.
